Become an Impact Partner

As a non-commercial station, 89.5 FM, KTSY receives a percentage of its annual income from listeners who choose to support us through their business. Businesses who believe in the ministry of KTSY financially support us by sponsoring us as an Impact Partner. In return, you'll hear us thank those businesses on the air by mentioning their name, address, products and/or services.

What do I receive as a result of my support of 89.5 FM, KTSY?

All KTSY Impact Partners receive announcements on the radio as a result of their support. The number of announcements is dependent on the level of contribution and the length of the agreement. The benefits of business support are available for non-profit organizations and commercial businesses alike. In addition, the cost of underwriting is considered a tax deductible gift to the station. Impact Partners are listed on our web site. The KTSY website gets almost 100,000 page views a month.

This sounds a lot like advertising…is it?

No…and yes. In the strictest sense, Impact Partner announcements are not advertising but, they achieve similar, if not better, results for those who wish to use them to market a product or service. KTSY Impact Partner announcements are designed to provide listeners valuable information about your business or organization. No screaming salesmen…no heavy-handedness…we don't tell people what to do. We give listeners information that they can use and act upon.

What's the main difference between supporting KTSY as a non-profit vs. a for-profit organization?

The wording of the announcements you receive as a result of your support. The FCC regulates what non-commercial radio stations can say about commercial businesses in their announcements. We're allowed to talk about the name of your business, services and products your provide and your location. Over the years, we have become pretty good at writing announcements that meet your marketing and ministry goals as well as our legal requirements for sponsor identification. Tax-exempt, 501 (c) (3), non-profit organizations (churches, most ministries, etc.) have a different opportunity as it relates to supporting non-commercial radio. Non-profit announcements sound very much like what you might hear on a commercial radio station.

Do my KTSY Impact Partner announcements work?

Yes. Radio listeners today (especially KTSY listeners!) are smart, well-informed people who, in most cases, don't have the time or inclination to sit through the same old sales pitches heard on other radio stations. They listen to KTSY specifically because we're different. KTSY offers Impact Partners the opportunity to speak directly to one of the most loyal and dedicated groups of radio listeners on the planet … those who tune into Christian music radio. Additionally, as primarily a listener-supported radio ministry, KTSY patrons often seek out opportunities to support the organizations and businesses that support KTSY as another means of supporting the station they love.

How much does it cost to become a Impact Partner of KTSY?

KTSY Business Supporter packages are available to fit almost any budget. Business support of KTSY is a cost-effective way to market your product and/or service to a loyal group of radio listeners while supporting a ministry that focuses sharply on being a positive influence in the community.
